  • Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico: Audemio Orózco Ramirez, 44, lived and worked in the United States without documentation for over two decades before being arrested and deported to Mexico in April 2018. Audemio's wife and eight children remain in the United States. Seven of his children are U.S. citizens. The oldest, Juan Luís, is undocumented but temporarily protected from deportation by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Audemio remains committed to rejoining his family in the U.S. despite knowing that harsh penalties including fines and incarceration await if he is caught again in the U.S. without documentation.
